Which GameSir G7 Pro Should You Choose? Xbox and PC Models Compared

Die GameSir G7 Pro range is much easier to compare when you start with the functionality you require. What is your primary gaming platform, and how much does performance matter? Though the slick designs often tempt us to forgo our practical needs, these are the questions you should ask first. There are four practical buying paths: wired XBOX, wireless XBOX, 1000Hz PC und 8K or 8000Hz PC.

These are not four completely separate controller families. Every non-8K model also supports wireless or wired PC play. The main question for XBOX players is whether wireless console support matters, because only two G7 Pro editions provide it.

Across the non-8K range, the core hardware is broadly similar: TMR sticks, Hall Effect analogue triggers with microswitch stops, optical microswitch ABXY buttons, a mechanical microswitch D-pad, four remappable extra controls, four rumble motors and a charging dock.

Bundle shortcut: The Zenless Zone Zero is the only one of these controllers also including a free carry case. The 8K Aimlabs Edition has the strongest performance-accessory bundle. Most other special editions mainly add distinctive artwork and smaller collector extras such as a card or sticker.

The following models must be connected by cable when used with an XBOX console. Their supplied 2.4GHz receiver is for wireless PC play, where they support polling rates of up to 1000Hz. They also support Android over Bluetooth.

  • Standard GameSir G7 Pro: the most straightforward choice, available in several standard colourways. It still includes the charging dock, receiver, cable and interchangeable D-pads.
  • GameSir G7 Pro Dragon’s Dogma 2 Edition: the same wired-XBOX and 1000Hz PC platform with an official Dragon’s Dogma 2 design.
  • GameSir G7 Pro Aimlabs Edition for XBOX: the wired-XBOX model for players who prefer the Aimlabs design. It is not the same controller as the PC-only 8K Aimlabs Edition.

The two collaboration models add branded presentation and small collector items, but neither currently lists a carrying case. Choose between these three primarily by design and availability rather than major differences in their core controls.

GameSir G7 Pro for wireless XBOX

Only two models in this comparison support 2.4GHz wireless play on XBOX: WUCHANG and Zenless Zone Zero editions. Both can be used wirelessly or wired on XBOX, on PC, and through Bluetooth on Android.

Choose WUCHANG when wireless XBOX support is the priority and you prefer the simpler package. Choose Zenless Zone Zero when you also value the carrying case, extra customisation parts and broader collector bundle.

GameSir G7 Pro for PC: the 1000Hz options

There is no separate non-8K, PC-only family among the GameSir G7 Pro line. Every standard and XBOX-focused G7 Pro above supports PC through 2.4GHz wireless or USB-C, with polling rates of up to 1000Hz.

  • Choose the standard G7 Pro for the cleanest all-round PC and wired-XBOX option.
  • Choose WUCHANG oder Zenless Zone Zero when you also need wireless XBOX support.
  • Choose Dragon’s Dogma 2 or the Aimlabs Edition for XBOX when their design appeals to you and a wired XBOX connection is acceptable.

For most multi-platform players, these 1000Hz models are more versatile than the 8K editions because they retain XBOX and Android compatibility.

GameSir G7 Pro 8K for competitive PC gaming

Die GameSir G7 Pro 8K PC models are built specifically for PC. They support polling rates of up to 8000Hz through both USB-C and 2.4GHz wireless connections, while upgrading to GameSir Mag-Res Gen-2 TMR sticks and GameSir Connect software.

These controllers are not universal upgrades over the standard G7 Pro. They do not support XBOX, and they use two grip rumble motors rather than the four-motor grip-and-trigger arrangement found in the 1000Hz models. They are ideal for PC focused gamers who want to maximise performance with 8K response times.

The 8K controllers have some of the best designs in the product line. The Aimlabs edition is unique in its inclusion of an Aimlabs redemption card. Besides this, the Champion, Royal2 and Nioh 3 editions only come with slight differences between them. Their standard boxes include the controller, charging dock, wireless receiver, cable, D-pad accessory and smaller collector items.
